This project explores typographic contrast through the design of two A1 posters in formal and expressive styles. The formal outcome prioritises clarity, readability, and hierarchy using two set typefaces, while the expressive adopts a more experimental approach to layout, scale, and composition. Together, the posters challenge conventions of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ typography, examining how design decisions shape communication, perception, and meaning.
